Unemployment rate in Canada rises to 8% in July vs 7.9%


Forex Special - The Unemployment Rate in Canada increased to 8% in July, after a previous reading at 7.9%. Experts had previously called for a flat 7.9%. The data cast a shadow on the 0.1% reduction seen in the last June reading.

The number of unemployed workers in Canada had a net change of -9.3K in July, compared to a 93.2K boost in June. Analysts were expecting a 10.3K net change.
